gnome-dvb-client software package provides client for gnome-dvb-daemon, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-dvb-client
gnome-dvb-client is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-dvb-client package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-dvb-client *
You will get with gnome-dvb-client package name, version, architecture and description in a table
